How does Inka work?
Tell your idea in plain words — “a moody dragon over the mountains,” “my dog as a Renaissance painting” — and Inka's AI designer sketches it four ways in seconds. You steer, it redraws, until it's exactly yours. Then pick a tee, hoodie, mug, tote, cap, poster, or phone case, and we make the real thing and ship it to you.
Is my design really one-of-a-kind?
Yep. Every design is generated fresh from your words — it didn't exist until you typed it, and nobody else has yours. Somewhere out there is a shirt only you could have caused.
Is my photo used to train AI?
No. Your photos and prompts are used for exactly one thing: making your design. We don't train AI models, and the AI services we use are bound by terms that prohibit training on your content. Your photo isn't shown to other users, doesn't feed anyone's dataset, and you can have it deleted anytime — just email hello@inka.me.
Why might the real thing look a little different from the preview?
The previews are photos of real products with your design placed on them, so they're close — but a photo isn't the piece in your hands. Colours can shift a touch between a screen and printed fabric or paper, the lighting in the photo isn't the lighting in your room, and the exact placement or centering of a print can vary slightly from what the mockup shows. The design itself is what we print, at the size and position the product allows.
Will it print exactly like the preview?
That's the plan — and a human makes sure of it. Before anything prints, every design gets a print-quality pass: we check it over, clean up any stray artifacts, and only then send it to print. AI-made art can carry tiny quirks of its own, and honestly, we like that — they're part of what makes your piece genuinely one of a kind. Perfection is mass-produced; yours isn't.
How do I take care of it? (Inka Care)
Treat it like a favourite, not a rag, and the print stays bright for years. Wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle — the print never rubs the drum. No bleach, no fabric softener — softener leaves a film that lifts print. Hang dry, or tumble low: heat is what cracks a print, and hang drying is the single biggest life-extender. Never iron the print itself — inside out, or press around it. On the first wash a faint scent or slight discolouration is normal and disappears. Our tees are garment-dyed, so the colour softens a touch with age — that lived-in look is the point, not a flaw. Mugs go in the dishwasher, caps and totes get a spot clean, posters stay out of direct sun.
How does my design become a real product?
Once you order, your design lands with us — not straight at a printer. We prep it for print, run the quality pass, then hand it to our professional print partners, who print it at the facility closest to you (in the US or Europe, depending on where you live) and ship it to your door.
What can I put my design on?
T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, mugs, tote bags, caps, posters, and phone cases — with more to come.
It's not quite right — can I change it?
Of course. Keep chatting to tweak it — change the colour, swap the background, make it bolder — until it's exactly what you pictured.
Do I need an account?
No sign-up needed. Design and check out in a couple of taps. We'll just ask for an email so we can send your order details.
Where is my order coming from?
From close to you — not from a container ship. Your order is printed at a professional print facility in the United States or Europe, whichever is nearest to your address, and ships from there like any domestic package. No overseas warehouses, no weeks-long mystery transit, no customs surprises for US and EU customers. Made near you, just for you.
How long does shipping take?
Everything's made to order just for you, so give it a few days to print before it ships. Orders print at the facility closest to you — US or Europe, depending on where you live — so it never crosses an ocean unnecessarily. You'll see a delivery estimate at checkout and we'll email tracking the moment it's on its way. Ordering for a birthday or a holiday? Order early — late orders aren't guaranteed to arrive in time, and we'll email you if yours can't make it.
What if something's wrong with my order?
Because each piece is made just for you, we can't take change-of-mind returns — but if anything arrives damaged, misprinted, or not what you ordered, email us within 30 days with a photo and we'll replace it or refund you. No forms, no fights.
Okay but who's the llama?
Inka's mascot, quality inspector, and the only member of the team paid entirely in snacks. He shows up around the app when something's worth celebrating — and occasionally when a page is empty, because he feels bad about it.
